From design to finish, the silversmiths proudly use age-old methods of craftsmanship such as hammer scaling, soldering, gouilloching, chiselling, pouring, pressing and embossing to hand-make each item. Since 1860, the company has been preserving these techniques in order to keep the art of silversmithing alive.
Still proudly using the unicorn as their hallmark of excellence, the iconic logo has been denoting quality and purity of materials since it was first documented in 1277. Not only is it the oldest coat of arms in Baden-Wüttemburg, but the unicorn is also specific to Schwäbisch Gmünd, where the factory is located, so makes for a fitting seal of approval for such fine quality silverware as Sonja Quandt.
