Constantly pushing for innovation with new wine vintages that use original and inventive elements, one of the best-sellers of the Bottega S.p.A portfolio is the Rose Gold Pinot Nero Spumante Brut Rosé. This delicious rosé sparkling wine is obtained through the vinification of Pinot Nero grapes from Lombardy. Grown in vineyards that stretch the length of the Po river in the south of the region, the favorable climate and the fertile lands produce outstanding grapes.
After careful hand-picking and de-stemming, cold maceration and soft pressing to remove skins, the base wine then undergoes a second fermentation according to the Martinotti method. This involves adding selected yeasts, which allow the sparkling wine to retain the flavour of the base wine and yield fresh, fruity wines, enhanced further by the aromatic grape variety used. In the Bottega Rose Gold this is characterised by floral and fruity notes, mainly mixed berries, currants and wild strawberries.
Before being put on the market, it is left in the cellar until it re-establishes its balance to create a consistent end product in keeping with Bottega’s quality control.
With a delicate pink colour and fine and persistent perlage, the Bottega Rose Gold is a fine, structured sparkling wine that works well as an aperitif or to accompany a whole meal. As a vegan certified wine, Bottega Rose Gold is an excellent choice for legume dishes, rice or quinoa salads with seasonal vegetables. In particular, it goes well with tasty risottos with vegetables, savoury pies, chickpea hummus with crudités, roasted or sautéed vegetables with soy sauce and sesame, and borlotti or cannellini bean salads.
